Location: Gateshead
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
Job Description:
As a Financial Controller you will be reporting to the Global Finance Director and working in collaboration with our client’s CEO & Directors to formulate and deliver innovative strategies that grow their profitability as a division and create long-term shareholder value.
You will have full accountability to develop and manage all operational elements of financial planning, processes, management, and reporting, ranging from treasury and technical accounting through to budgeting, forecasting and business partnering. You will drive the business strategy whilst maintaining Exec focus on core KPI’s and company performance.
As a Financial Controller you will:
Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively.
Prepare all Procurement division consolidated Statutory Accounts.
Prepare budgets and all related monthly management reporting.
Review and report procurement consolidated cash position and forecasts.
Provide the GFD with core information relating to the financial performance of products, entities, and regional financials.
Review all management accounts packs.
Manage the transactional team and oversee/review sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries.
Handle VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
Liaise with auditors and preparing audit packs.
Perform project management of process changes and implementations
About you:
ACA, CIMA or equivalent
Must be a strategic thinker.
Exceptional staff management background
Excellent communicator
Project management skills
Proven ability of working under pressure
Strong IT skills
Accounting background in a similar environment
