Customer Support Representative

About the role

A software company in the Newcastle upon Tyne area are looking to employ a Customer Service Representative. Having won awards for their work life balance culture and also best CEO, they have an enviable reputation for their small business solutions. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office. Hours of work are between 9am – 8pm and with a three-shift work pattern, 37.5 hours per week.

You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team of people who are passionate about delivering customer support. In this role you will be supporting customers with technical problems and identifying the best product, solution, or service to match their needs.

About the role:

  • Offer solutions to benefit customers

  • Provide excellent customer service standards at all times

  • Behave empathetically by seeing the customer’s point of view

  • Seek opportunities that add value to customers relationship with the business and maximise revenue opportunities

  • Proactively contribute to the team through sharing knowledge and ideas

  • Seek feedback from managers about how to improve the customer experience

  • Adapt communication style to suit the customer

About you:

  • Good communicator

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Willing to learn from other team members

  • Knowledge of customer business needs

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to negotiate effectively
