Collections Adviser

About the role

Are you interested in joining an industry-leading company?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Collection Advisers to join a team in Durham.

This is a hybrid role with currently 1 day per month in the office.

The focus of this role is to build strong relationships and deliver a world-class service to new and existing customers, as well as third-party relationships.

The company are well-known in their market for delivering world-class customer experiences, therefore we are looking for someone that has great communication skills and a customer first approach. Great working hours - 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm!

Starting salary of £22k plus bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent customer care and collections experience

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers

  • Advising and support customers to ensure accounts are paid to the terms of their contract

  • Deal with all calls professionally and in a timely manner

  • Look at opportunities to maximise cash collection and minimise uncollectible amounts

  • Support credit control and the wider team and business

About you:

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrate strong influencing and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills who can build positive relationships

  • Strong IT skills specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
