About the role
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Clerking Assistant, working for one of the North’s most prestigious chambers in Newcastle.
Working within a team of clerks, you will have responsibility for day-to-day admin duties, providing a high level of support to the wider team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Barrister’s Clerk, or administrator to join a thriving business.
About the role:
Answer phone calls and direct to the correct party, liaising with clients on a regular basis.
Manage shared inbox.
Scan and file correspondence
Diary management and liaise with court.
Create and update case records.
Arrange meetings in person, via telephone or video link.
Any other duties as required by counsel.
About you:
Strong communicator, with a high level of emotional intelligence, and able to deal with sensitive matters with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
Work well under pressure, and to tight deadlines
Work effectively as part of a team, and willing to go above and beyond when required.
Excellent attention to detail
Good eye for process improvement
