Gill Hunter leads Square One Law with authenticity, courage and a commitment to doing business for good. A commercial lawyer by background, she specialises in technology, IP and contract law, but her impact extends far beyond legal practice. As Managing Partner, she champions a distinctive and inclusive culture while driving the firm’s BCorp journey. Gill is also a recognised voice in regional development, social equity and digital inclusion, through her work with the North East Combined Authority. British Chambers of Commerce, Disability North, and West End Women & Girls Centre.

She is a tech and commercial lawyer specialising in IP and IT law with over 25 years’ experience looking after clients. Passionate about innovation, she challenges traditional legal norms while fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace culture.
Beyond her role, she hosts the 'Fear Less. Do More' podcast, is vice chair of trustees at Disability North, a trustee of the West End Women and Girls’ Centre, chair of the NECC Digital Forum, Chair of the BCC Workplace Equity Commission, regional council member for NECC, and business board member at the North East Combined Authority.
