About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Operations Manager to take ownership of a large-scale production operation, leading a team of over 100 employees across a variety of shift patterns. This is a key leadership role focused on driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: Starting c£50,000 + bonus + benefits
Day Shift: 8am to 4pm
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop a team of Shift Leaders and their teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring consistent standards.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring output meets quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets.
Collaborate across departments to resolve issues, align priorities, and support wider production goals.
Drive continuous improvement, leading initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency using structured problem-solving.
Coordinate planning and capacity, working closely with Planning and Shift Leaders to ensure schedule adherence.
Coach and mentor team members through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.
Support employee relations through working constructively with union representatives.
Identify and justify capital investment opportunities to support long-term operational improvements.
About You
You bring proven experience in a similar production operations management role, ideally within a high-volume or complex production environment.
You’re organised, outcome-driven, and known for your ability to follow through and deliver results.
Your leadership style is practical and people-focused - you build trust, communicate clearly, and stay composed under pressure.
You’re resilient and solutions-oriented.
