Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering/Manufacturing support team with our international automotive manufacturing client based in Sunderland.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will repair, improve and maintain all the production equipment and perform reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. The role requires a high technical skill level alongside a proactive approach to resolving issues and implementing countermeasures.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Carry out regular PM activities on all equipment in line with the PM schedule

  • Identify and correct potential issues with equipment during PM activity

  • Provide maintenance support to all departments, actively work with Manufacturing Coordinators to improve and maintain production efficiencies

  • Support new equipment introductions

  • Support manufacturing on plant & equipment issues to ensure we achieve QCD targets

  • Ensure maintenance records and parts stores are updated and complete

  • Comply with all Company, Health & Safety and Environmental rule, regulations and policies

About you:

  • Experience in a similar Maintenance Role

  • Experience in an Automotive, production or manufacturing setting

  • Excellent Health & Safety Awareness

  • Work well as part of a team as well as using own initiative

Working Pattern:

2 Shift Pattern

Monday – Friday Early Shift

Monday – Friday Late Shift

3 Shift Pattern

Monday – Friday Early Shift

Monday – Friday Late Shift

Sunday – Thursday Night Shift
