About the role
NRG are delighted to be working with a long-established business with over 100 years of successful operation on the appointment of a passionate Head of Technology. Our client has ambitious growth for the future and are looking for a like minded individual who will take the reins and guide them on this technology transformation.
Working alongside the Senior Management Team, you will scope, develop and implement a strategic plan, which will enhance and strengthen their platform. You will also be heading up a small team to coach and develop their careers as well as working with managed service providers to ensure the company’s network and infrastructure remains up to date.
Responsibilities:
Work with Stakeholders to make assessments of current systems and processes, identifying critical risk and business needs.
Prioritising improvements that add most value to the business.
Building business cases for new / upgraded systems.
You’ll lead and manage IT projects, creating realistic and robust project plans to efficiently utilise available resources.
Oversee all IT services.
Maintain the infrastructure, network and systems.
Meeting internal customer needs through understanding priorities and supporting your team to deliver for today and the future.
Lead, develop and manage a small technical team.
What you’ll bring
A broad range of technical knowledge (systems/hardware/software/Microsoft products – O365 etc.).
As the ‘go to person’ for all things IT related, you’ll have a proven track record in delivering successful projects and solving problems in a pro-active and constructive way.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of range of stakeholders (both technical and non-technical).
You’ll understand how to get the best out of people and can demonstrate leadership capability.
