Role Overview:
We are looking for a Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of renewable energy solutions, particularly focusing on electrical design for commercial rooftop solar and battery storage systems. You will work within the design team, responsible for developing and executing designs for both domestic and commercial solar PV and battery storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop Solar PV and Battery Storage projects from feasibility through to deployment.
Use industry-specific software to produce detailed designs and layouts.
Prepare quotations and proposals for projects.
Produce project-specific technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation.
Seek out new business opportunities and foster client relationships.
Contribute to the preparation of tenders, ensuring that all design elements are accurately captured.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong background in commercial electrical design.
In-depth knowledge and experience of domestic and commercial solar PV systems.
Experience in surveying, design, and preparing quotations.
Proficiency in design software (preferably AutoCAD and PVSOL).
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills/Experience:
Strong understanding of solar PV systems for both domestic and commercial applications.
Background in commercial electrical design.
Experience in surveying, design, and preparing quotations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVSOL (or similar design software).
