Business Support Oficer

Business Support Officer

Location: Oldbury (office-based, 5 days per week)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary until 31st March 2026 (possible extension)
Pay: £13.26 – £13.90 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience

We are recruiting a Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative support within a busy public sector environment. This is a full-time, office-based role requiring strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

Key Duties

  • Updating and maintaining internal case management systems

  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency of records and information

  • Supporting operational staff with system updates and reporting requirements

  • Managing incoming post, emails, and messages and escalating urgent matters

  • Maintaining electronic files, including scanning and uploading documents

  • Completing allocated tasks within agreed timescales

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role

  • NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration (or equivalent)

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage diaries and prioritise workload

Desirable

  • Experience using case management systems

Additional Information

  • Full-time applicants only

  • Must be able to travel to Oldbury

  • Standard DBS check required (issued within the last 12 months)

  • Immediate start preferred
