October's virtual meet up of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in the North East' will explore Menopause in the workplace.

Menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the workforce. 1 in 4 women may experience serious symptoms which can lead to women leaving their jobs altogether.

As Menopause is covered under the Equality Act 2010, there have already been successful employment tribunals against employers.

October is World Menopause Awareness Month and we’re taking this opportunity to talk openly about how this can impact the health of women in your workplace, what you can do to support them, and how to protect yourself from legal entanglements.

Our panel of experts leading the discussion before entering into an interactive Q&A session are as follows:

Dr Rachel Nicholson MBBS MRCOG, Obstetrics and Gynecology at James Cook University Hospital (JCUH)

Sharon McArthur, Founder and Educator at Miss Menopause

Eleanor Wilkinson, Partner – Employment Team at Square One Law

Date:     Thursday 28th October

Time:     11am – 11.45am
