What to expect?
Are you stuck in a continuous cycle of extending echo chambers with people of similar backgrounds, experiences and ways of thinking in your organisation? Do you have departments filled with clones? How can you open the doors of opportunity for some fresh perspectives?
This session will provide a taster into our unconscious biases and how they affect our hiring practices. Using examples of where homogenous teams can get it wrong, we consider the huge advantages diversity of thought can bring. You will gain practical strategies within your hiring process to avoid the culture fit traps as well as best practice approaches to retaining diverse talent and nurturing inclusive cultures within your organisation so that every individual has a voice, can be themselves and thrive.
