About the role
An organisation delivering essential services for children and families is seeking a Finance Business Partner to play a key role in supporting service delivery and long-term financial sustainability.
The Role
Reporting to a senior finance lead, this role is responsible for partnering with operational teams, managing a payments function, and providing high-quality financial insight to support decision-making across children’s services.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budget monitoring reports.
Ensuring budget holders are fully supported and informed on financial performance.
Leading annual budget setting and business planning processes.
Reviewing, improving, and maintaining financial processes, controls, and systems (including ERP/financial systems).
Maximising income and funding streams across the organisation.
Managing and developing a payments team.
Leading the development and application of financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
Providing clear financial advice and guidance to non-finance stakeholders.
About You
The successful candidate will:
Hold a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent).
Have strong Excel and financial modelling capability.
Bring experience in management accounting, forecasting, and business partnering.
Ideally have prior people-management experience.

Working Pattern
37 hours per week.
Core hours Monday to Thursday, with a shorter working day on Friday.
Hybrid working, with a minimum of two days per week in the office (West Midlands area).
