Automation Tester

About the role

A large software Consultancy, who provide highly skilled consultants to support client business in green/brown field projects using the latest cutting-edge technologies are looking to welcome an experienced

You will be working with private and public sectors, including banking/financial services organisations. You will also be part of a company that is continuously growing as a business, with new client wins and an internal project on-going.

We have regular meet ups, both online and in person at our monthly social events. We believe this helps maintain a great connection across the entire team and builds camaraderie within the business.

What you will be exposed to

  • Working with clients to deliver high quality testing solutions for varied industries

  • Designing, executing, and maintaining automated UI tests

  • API testing

  • Performance Testing

  • Accessibility Testing

  • Promoting a ‘shift left’ attitude towards Software Testing

  • Collaborating with internal Test Community to share best practices and ideas

Technical Requirements

  • Experience in design and development of Test Automation Frameworks, integrated with suitable automation tools (Selenium, REST assured, Playwright, Postman, Cucumber)

  • Experienced in both manual and automated API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Karate)

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of various non-functional testing types

  • Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages (Java, Scala, Javascript, Typescript, C#)

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience using core testing concepts and methodologies

  • Experienced in using CI tools for continuous testing (Jenkins, Gitlab, Github Actions or similar)

  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment

Desired skills

  • Performance Testing with tools such as JMeter/Gatling

  • Previous experience working for a consultancy

  • Experience in software testing across a range of industries

  • Experience working in distributed teams

  • Contract testing experience
