We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work as part of a Networks and Connectivity Team to ensure the successful day-to-day operation of network infrastructure and services.
It’s an exciting opportunity to design and implement network services across data, voice, and security platforms.
As a Senior Networks Engineer you will also act as a mentor and provide mentoring and coaching to other members of the team as a technical specialist.

Provide support and guidance to the Networks and Connectivity Service Manager, Architecture, and the Product Managers on future technical direction
Contribute to the development of the team training plan, including identification of skills gaps and appropriate training opportunities
Identify opportunities for knowledge transfer within the team to eliminate single points of expertise
Respond to incidents and manage these to resolution whilst demonstrating a strong customer focus and excellent inter-personal skills.
Provide technical mentoring /coaching to other members of the team
Provide the initial high-level software estimates to product managers for the creation of product roadmaps
Respond and resolve incidents/faults/ developments within the communications infrastructure
Effective prioritisation and scheduling of new requirements
Provide documentation on solutions and implementations
Liaise and negotiate with Service providers
Report critical incidents re: networks, software, hardware & sites
Communicate information regarding new and emerging technologies to the Product Management and Architecture disciplines
Proven experience managing data, security and voice network products and services working with critical network infrastructure within enterprise scale datacentres
Experience working in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment with Terraform and will be comfortable working with different cloud services, including Azure, OCI and AWS
CCNP (Routing & Switching and/or Data Centre)
Experience designing and implementing WAN architectures
Proven understanding of routing protocols
Worked with LAN/WAN enterprise monitoring solutions
Experience of load balancing technologies
Awareness of SIP trunking and IP telephony platforms
Experience supporting wired and wireless networks
Knowledge of ITIL best practice
Capable of building relationships with a diverse set of business stakeholders
Maintenance, configuration and fault-finding on data networking and network security equipment within the corporate communications system infrastructure (hardware and software)
Maintenance, configuration, and fault-finding on telecommunications equipment within the corporate communications system infrastructure (hardware and software)
Up to date with all the latest network security equipment, threats, and policies.
Conversant with all equipment used within the corporate communications system infrastructure
Possess the technical ability to devise improvements and recommend changes to systems, products, and services
Be familiar with all aspects of voice and data operations and service provision
Strong commitment to customer service
Being at ease and effective in dealing with professionals and managers in other disciplines
Good communication and negotiation skills written and verbal
Good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations
