Our North East based client has an opportunity for an experienced and professional Business Administrator to join their team on either a remote or hybrid basis. Offices are based in Sunderland, but a remote home working approach is also available.

This really is an exciting opportunity to join a close knit but growing team where you will be responsible for providing full administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the BDM function. You will be a confident, outgoing, and ambitious individual as this role, in time, will ideally develop into a Junior Sales Executive role for the right person. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate member and prospect information including framework usage, contract expiry dates and contact information.

  • Identify potential targets for the sales team by managing the process of contract intelligence gathering via various methods

  • Assist Account Executives with booking of appointments for sales meetings

  • Provide Account Executives/Head of Commercial with literature and intelligence required for meetings

  • Carry out all administrative tasks involved in the sales team function e.g. respond and deal with enquiries received through a managed inbox and telephone, booking of hotel accommodation and meeting rooms.

  • Assist with organisation of all exhibitions and procurement reference panels

  • Work with Head of Commercial to track KPI’s and produce monthly sales results pack

  • Be first point of contact for all incoming enquiries and delegate/coordinate actions arising

  • Organising the external sales team diaries when required and keeping them up to date

  • Manage exhibition data and work with Marketing Officer to best utilise it

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills

  • Creative and high energy personality able to offer dynamic and exciting opportunities to the Group

  • Excellent sales skills as this role will organically develop into a sales role.

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

  • The ability to work on own initiative

 

Additional Requirements

  • Able to stay away from home throughout the UK and attend meetings/exhibitions as required

  • Full current driving licence desirable
