NRG are delighted to be working with a large organisation in Durham who are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager. You will support the project management process, demonstrating application of procedures by example, through coaching and mentoring of peer and junior project managers. They will be responsible for the planning, leading, organising and motivating of Agile project teams and will need to develop important and long lasting relationships with high level stakeholders.

The role is likely to be remote until Christmas with a couple of days in the office thereafter.


  • The successful delivery of the business goals by ensuring project activities are executed successfully within time, quality and scope boundaries.

  • Accurate financial estimation and status reporting.

  • Working with resource managers and product managers to ensure appropriate resources are secured in line with business priorities.

  • The successful management of risks & issues at the appropriate level.

  • Communicating in an appropriate manner to technical and non-technical senior stakeholders

  • Responsibility for vendor and partner relationships, managing their expectations and keeping communication processes strong with senior stakeholders

  • Defining and implementing agile frameworks to the delivery of high-quality software and complex software projects.

  • Working with key stakeholders to make frequent and dynamic prioritisation decisions  Driving a collaborative culture across the team, suppliers and partners.

  • Championing a product and agile focussed delivery culture within IS.

Ideally you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in the delivery of large-scale software based projects within the commercial arena

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to proactively manage financials, costs to complete, capital cost and change requests.

  • The ability to build and cultivate strong and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and actively manage customer expectations

  • Strong experience working in a data driven environment

  • Outstanding stakeholder and vendors management skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Expert at understanding the enterprise direction, goals and strategies of a Product characteristics

  • Capable of understanding agile methodology and how to apply the agile mind set to all aspects of their work.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus fantastic benefits.
