Based in Team Valley, Gateshead, Primula are looking for Production Operators to join their team.


Previous experience in food production, logistics, distribution, warehouse, factory or manufacturing would be advantageous!

This is an ongoing opportunity which may lead to a permanent role.


Immediate starts are available with a salary of £23,462.33 including shift allowance.


As a Production Operator you will be required to work a 2 Shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:00 Friday 06:00-12:00

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 14:00-22:00 Friday 12:00-18:00


Successful candidates will be required to operate the necessary high-speed equipment within the production area. This will include setting up machines in accordance with standard operating procedures and controlling and adjusting machine settings.


Since Primula pride themselves on ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene and H&S are always adhered to, so at the end of each a shift you will be responsible for the cleaning of your machinery and effecting handover to the oncoming shift as well as carrying out quality checks and recording the outcome electronically throughout your day.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest standards of quality, hygiene and H&S are adhered to

  • Identify and report any unsafe operations or acts and where possible, provide feedback or suggestions in relation to H&S and food safety

  • Operate the necessary equipment required within Production areas

  • Set up machines in accordance with SOP

  • Control and adjust machine settings

  • Trouble shooting and fault finding

  • Carry out basic machine maintenance

  • Record the relevant documentation
