Our client, which has over 16,000 homes across the region, has a rare opportunity for a talented and experienced housing professional to join them as Service Improvement Manager. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Housing and responsible for the Performance and Information Officer.

 

As Service Improvement Manager, you will successfully support the Housing Directorate to effectively manage the performance of services and implement service improvements. There are key principle elements to the role that will require the you to evidence an understanding of how each service works within the team and wider group whilst supporting managers to develop and implement service improvements. Those key elements also include :

  • Supporting Heads of Service to report organisational performance to Board, Housing Performance Panel, Tenant Scrutiny Panel and SMT.

  • Providing accurate data analysis (including but not limited to housing performance and benchmarking).

  • The production of performance information.

  • Ensuring data integrity across all systems.

  • Ensuring that performance standards and targets are in place and are understood by staff and that effective monitoring, review and continuous development processes are in place.

  • Continually challenging service delivery and manage change effectively.

  • Assisting with the efficient and effective operation of all services provided by the Housing Directorate.

Ultimately there is a desire that the successful candidate will possess excellent stakeholder , peer group and colleague management skills and evidence that you are a strong team player. There is a need to be responsible for keeping colleagues well informed so that work is co-ordinated across the service, whilst developing professional relationships and sharing good practice with colleagues, to aid communication and consistency.

Overall, it will be essential that you adopt a collaborative and supportive approach, maintaining up to date professional knowledge whilst providing advice and assistance to colleagues as required.
