NRG’s IT specialist recruitment team are delighted to be working with a well-established insurance company based in Newcastle. We are  looking for a Cloud Manager who will be responsible for the operation and development of IT Cloud Services/Cloud Service Management provided by the group.

 

You will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Develop and support business owners and users with required IT solutions and services – related to IT cloud services – in time and in budget with satisfactory service quality.

  • Manage, implement and maintain the so called “Cloud Target Operation Model (CTOM)” as framework for the use of all cloud based (IT) services across the Group

  • Develop, implement and maintain the “Cloud Service Catalogue” aligned with IT strategies and business’ needs.

  • Ensure compliance of internal and external IT cloud service providers with internal and external regulations at the group

  • Monitor and control performance and usage of all (internal and external) IT service providers within the group by using SLAs and KPIs – in so far related to IT cloud services/ cloud service management.

  • Monitor and control all costs related to IT cloud services/ cloud service management within the group.

  • Initiate continuous improvement programme in IT cloud service management

  • Manage and support team members from both internal and external sources to ensure that quantity as well as quality of work, timescales and budget are met.

 

You will have the following:

 

  • Degree in business administration or business informatics or informatics or a comparable vocational training

  • Extensive long-term work experience in a leading function in the field of IT cloud service management, IT service management or IT infrastructure management

  • Comprehensive long-term work experience in the range of IT management

  • in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure components

  • Comprehensive work experience in migration of applications into public cloud environments

  • desirable certifications in the areas of project management (PMI or Prince2), IT service management (ITIL), IT governance (COBIT)

  • either AWS technical professional certification and/or Azure competent certification (MSCD, with MSCA or MCSE)

 

 

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus fantastic benefits including flexible working.
