This truly revolutionary, rapid growth high-tech company in Newcastle is looking for an IT Team Leader to run the IT Service Desk Team.
Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure and Security, your main responsibilities will be the day to day running of the IT Service Desk team, a role that provides plenty of variety, from project management to user support. This will be supported by an external IT services provider.
You’ll have IT support experience in a similar role and be ambitious, committed and results-oriented.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Liaising with third party providers:
Liaising with other departments within the business to ensure that all Services are supplied and SLA’s are met
Handling the management of Head office I.T. Projects including liaising with 3rd parties to implement
Your team will provide support across:
User Support (Windows 10, MAC IOS):
Supporting Head Office staff at all levels, ranging from adding printers to resolving software, hardware and wireless/network connectivity issues
Providing support to meeting room users and ensuring meeting room A/V equipment operational
Liaising with third party on patching of network ports and switches
Managing remote user VPN access
Managing and assigning IP addresses for other fixed-IP devices (Printers, Projectors, security cameras etc.)
Server Support (Windows 2012 - 2016) dealing with the following:
Managing and maintaining the servers (with third party support) – Windows Virtual Servers (VMWARE)
Telephony Support (Skype for Business and 8x8):
Creating user accounts
Creating and managing hunt and call groups within Skype for Business
Managing IVR / call menus and greetings
Changing team availability / opening hours
Liaising with telecoms providers when needed
