Purpose of the role
As Business Development Manager, you will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities from a steady feed of inbound enquiries, building a qualified new business pipeline. In addition, you will take the lead in preparing and delivering new business pitches and written tender response documents.
Duties and Responsibility
Develop and manage relationships with prospects and existing customers through a combination of daily, out-bound calling and as needed in-person meetings.
You will also work closely with the existing sales and marketing team to develop content that will drive inbound enquiries.
As an experienced professional, you will be self-motivated in your approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
You will be in control of new business revenue targets, which your performance will be measured against.
An excellent communicator, you will be confident leading new business pitches and presenting creative ideas and digital solutions in a compelling and engaging manner.
You will further demonstrate the skills required to research and write technically accurate proposals.
A technical understanding of the product is essential to demonstrate all functionality to potential clients and support new clients through general queries.
You will be expected to maintain accurate records in our CRM, managing your sales pipeline and tracking your opportunities through the sales cycle from initial enquiry through to close and handover to a project manager.
Therefore, you should be confident working autonomously, but also be an inspirational leader and an effective team member.
Preferably have solid sales or industry experience in the Care and Council sector.
Schedule - Monday-Friday, mix of COVID safe office (NE16), home, travel, and where required hotel stays.
