Purpose of the role:

NRG are delighted to be working with an outstanding industry leader to recruit an experienced Social Media Manager. Reporting to the Marketing Director the role will be responsible for the management of the business social media accounts posting inspiring content across various social media channels. This includes content creation, copywriting and developing guidance materials.


  • Manage the business posting schedule for the brand social media accounts.

  • Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages

  • Assist with the planning of social media strategies and campaigns to help drive traffic and engagement to the website.

  • Coordinate social media messaging with all the relevant departments, and quarterly or seasonal company goals with a focus on driving sales in key periods.

  • Liaising with and sourcing social influencers.

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to plan, and contribute delivery of businesses blogs into social media plans.

  • Regularly review social analytics and performance reporting to understand and implement improvements in social marketing activity/campaign activity and engagement.


Person Specification

  • Minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience of working as a Social Media Executive or proven experience in a similarly digital marketing role, with a key understanding of working towards social targets.

  • Comfortable dealing with different types of media and thinking creatively about how we might be able to use them differently on each channel.

  • A finger on the pulse of what’s happening in social media – you’ll know which platforms are about to blow up and tell us where we should be before we know it ourselves.

  • A good understanding of reviewing analytics and understanding social data

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle a range of different teams with different requests for social marketing support.
