Customer Service Associate – Collections

What will I be doing?
You’ll be working with customers whose accounts have fallen into arrears, helping them find a repayment option that fits their needs and circumstances. As a Collections Associate, you will be taking inbound calls from customers as well as making outbound calls. You’ll need to ask the right questions to understand how you can best help them with their account. You will recognise when they’re in financial difficulty and will use your excellent listening and negotiation skills to find a solution that helps them to get back on track. Attention to detail will be key, ensuring we keep our systems up to date during and after every call. You’ll deliver fantastic customer service that’s helpful and understanding, and provides the right outcome for your customer.
Who are we looking for?
Naturally you’ll be an excellent communicator and a great listener, but you’ll also be passionate about delivering first class customer service and helping customers move forward with credit. You’ll have experience of working in a contact centre within financial services or other highly regulated contact centres. Don’t worry if you’re new to Collections work, NewDay will give you full training and ongoing support, so you will be fully equipped with everything you need to know right from day one.
What are the benefits?
You’ll receive a starting salary of £20,000. You’ll have the opportunity to increase your salary to £20,500 after 6 months, then up to £22,000 after 12 months through the successful achievement of the supportive internal development programme. On top of this, there’s a discretionary annual bonus scheme.
