Our client is looking for a SHEQ Advisor/Supervisor to join them at their manufacturing site in Prudhoe on a permanent basis.

 

Job Role

 

  • Maintain and embed the Integrated Management System in line with statutory, best practice, accreditation requirements and standards in a coordinated manner to positively drive the strategic management of risk

  • Drive compliance and entrench continual improvement of quality, health, safety, environmental and fire standards

  • Ensure robust systems are in place for engagement and use of contractors

  • Maintaining systems, programmes and standards to meet the requirements of existing and future legislation and company policy

  • Undertake and lead injury and incident investigation

  • Maintain relevant ISO standards and any other external standards the business subscribes to

  • Maintain accurate records of relevant H&S data

  • Set a personal example by abiding by the requirements of health, safety, environmental and fire Policies and standards of the business

  • Oversee development, validation and continuous improvement of risk assessment and associated programmes to meet regulatory and company requirements

  • Delivery of training as required in order to develop internal staff skills relating to risk assessments, accident investigations and health & safety

  • Ensure engagement of all stake holders to influence behaviours, embed a positive safety culture to optimise safe and successful performance across the business

 

Skills/Experience

 

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)

  • Ability to influence and lead management and employees at all levels within the organisation

  • Attention to detail and a high level of organisation

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001

  • Internal audit qualification and relevant audit experience
