Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their rapidly growing business.
You will be working alongside the Planning, Procurement and Warehouse functions and will be responsible for procurement activities to support our Delivery and Installation Teams and the Customer Care Team. The role sits in the central procurement team and will also support the manufacturing procurement operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide a professional, efficient and effective plant and material procurement service, placing orders.
Constantly review the Site Bill of Materials and the process for areas of improvement and logistical enhancements to ensure the best service is provided to the D&I teams.
Place and expedite purchase orders for Customer Care requirements within strict SLAs
Support the business’s Strategic Category management approach for direct and indirect materials framework agreement
Resolve supplier issues to ensure the efficient delivery of materials to site
Prepare and contribute to cost reports in order to maximize efficiencies within the business
Personal Specifications:Qualifications & Training:
Have or working towards professional procurement qualification
Experience
Construction industry experience is essential
Working with ERP/MRP systems and ideally Microsoft Dynamics or Nav
Knowledge of best practice supply chain management tools
