NRG are delighted to be retained by one of the UK’s leading Social Housing providers to secure their next Head of Health & Safety. Our client is ambitious about its future. Given this we are seeking a Head of Health and Safety who will help implement these commitments through innovation and strong delivery.
This is an exciting time for a talented health and safety professional to join Home Group with a broad portfolio. Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, led by Matt Forrest, Executive Director Operations, the Head of Health and Safety needs to be a charismatic and pragmatic influencer who can quickly build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders. Reporting directly to Matt, the Head of Health and Safety will be active in supporting the group in discharging his executive responsibilities for the management of Health & Safety across the whole organisation. You will demonstrate strong leadership and influence and be adept at building inter disciplinary relationships across all stakeholder groups.
The successful candidate will be a high calibre professional with a strong technical background and a Chartered Membership of a national health and safety body. You will have the gravitas to be a trusted advisor to the corporate leadership team on statutory compliance and best practice. Your approach to health and safety management will be proactive and collaborative with demonstrable skills in leading, coaching and motivating staff ideally from within a Social Housing environment. You will possess a specialist Health & Safety knowledge ensuring guidance is given around compliance through promoting a positive ethos amongst colleagues, customers and contractors. This includes Care, infection and disease controls.
