Management Accountant

A growing manufacturing business in Newcastle is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. This business has been critical in supporting the work of the NHS throughout the pandemic with its technologically advanced products and has secured several outstanding national contracts to secure long-term growth.

You will be a key part of this team of 10, guiding an Assistant Management Accountant, with long-term opportunities if the post-holder wishes as the team will grow in 2021 offering progression opportunities.

Day-to-day (not limited to):

• Monthly management accounts for various areas of the business, providing solid commentary

• Support business managers and assist them in the delivery of their annual business plans, providing financial and commercial guidance

• Reporting on the financial performance of the site (monthly)

• Monthly forecasting

• Provide analysis and commentary to stakeholders and senior management on spends vs budgets, KPIs, expected results vs actual results, etc

• Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• More activities to be discussed

Requirements:

• Several years experience working in an accounting/finance related role

• Ideally CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, or close to that point

• Sage 200 experience (advantageous)
