I am delighted to be recruiting a Senior Account Manager for an outstanding healthcare marketing agency in Newcastle.

This is an exciting role for an ambitious and industrious person who is looking for a role with opportunities in the exciting and ever-changing world of healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing.

The Role:

Your primary responsibility will be managing the activities for several of our agency’s key accounts. You will be working with the Account Director for a select group of clients and will co-ordinate the resources needed to deliver projects on time and budget.

You will be expected to deliver across a wide range of channels including on and offline media, design, packaging, and exhibitions.


  • Supporting the Account Directors including day-to-day business, new project briefs and meetings. You will be the ‘go-to person’ for the Account Director.

  • Delivery of projects, ensuring completion to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget the day-to-day management of each job within designated accounts including raising estimates for work, and liaising with suppliers and relevant team members.

  • Maximising revenues and profitability within designated accounts. 

Person Specifications:

  • At least three years of business-to-business agency experience at Account Manager/Project Manager level.

  • Experience of delivering multi-channel communications

  • Be self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects

  • Effective supplier management capabilities

  • Keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints

  • At least two years’ experience of working within a medical communications agency environment is desirable

  • Experience in professional client relationship management

  • Working knowledge of the ABPI code of conduct and experience with pharma approval software systems is desirable
