Our client is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis at their sites in Newcastle.

Job Role 

  • The role holder will coordinate a diverse range of internal and external resources, to deliver effective and efficient value for money Facilities Services within allocated area of responsibility

  • Promoting service excellence to achieve all Corporate objectives

  • Support the Service Management Team by coordinating and contributing to the provision of professional expertise and support ensuring that the service provides high levels of stakeholder satisfaction

  • Support the Facilities Manager to deliver a diverse range of facilities activities, co-ordinating the services and activities of internal and external supply arrangements (e.g. cleaning, porterage, window cleaning, waste, grounds maintenance, etc)

  • Allocate and manage resources within area if responsibility.  Appoint suitable 3rd party supplier partner arrangements in line with agreed protocols to deliver an effective and cost efficient service which meets Service Level Agreements

  • Ensure internal resources and 3rd Party Suppliers deliver customer focused and effective value for money

  • Pro-actively identify building and service improvement opportunities through structured inspections and audits across all areas of responsibility

  • Monitor and manage service activity in accordance with agreed budget provision, identifying risk and efficiency opportunities, to assist in the development of accurate MI to support performance and to support effective financial and service planning

  • Promote cost reduction opportunities across faculty and service areas by operating efficient procedures in the delivery of services and the procurement of goods and external services

Skills/Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role

  • Experience of planning and organising the activities of self and/or others

  • Ability to effectively plan and organise resources

  • Experience of managing and procuring 3rd part supplier goods and services

  • Experience of delivering FM service solutions on scale comparable with role requirements

  • IOSH Health & Safety

The role is predominantly a day-shift, Monday to Friday role but on occasions will require working outside of these.
