NRG are delighted to be working with an outstanding industry leader. We are supporting them on the recruitment of a Head of Planning & Governance to join their site in Newcastle.
You will be responsible for heading up a new team which will encompass Programme Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Change Management. The team will sit within the IT function, but will be business focused to manage the engagement, roadmap and programmes across all of our business units. You will be responsible for the following:
Establishing and running a Front Door for IT
Establishing and running the programme governance model
Facilitating and running Governance meeting with senior stakeholders
Owning the overall change plan for the business and working with senior stakeholders to prioritise & challenge where necessary
Setting up and managing the way we engage with our stakeholders for established services, including ongoing product management, continuous improvement, and roadmap development
Financial Management for the function
Managing a team of Programme Managers, BA’s and Product Owners
Comms lead for the function internally and promotion of the IT dept brand across the business
Resourcing and planning lead for function, working with the delivery arm of IT
Previous experience of managing a PMO office or large projects encompassing PMO functionality.
Strong working knowledge of Capex project delivery.
Leadership / Management experience from a Senior PM role.
Excellent experience of Business Analysis techniques and an understanding of how to create a framework that delivers requirements
Experience of running product roadmaps for established services where a culture of continuous improvement is encouraged
Excellent relationship management skills.
Demonstrate full commitment to exceptional stakeholder relationship management.
Exemplary communication and reporting skills
Strong skills in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
Previous demonstrable experience of successful programme and risk management.
Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods.
Ability to influence within a matrix structure.
