Service Desk Analyst

NRG are working closely with a Middlesbrough-based IT solutions provider to recruit a Service Desk Analyst into their expanding technical support team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide remote/onsite IT support for hardware and software issues to SLA’s

  • Ensure all incident/service request tickets are logged onto a ticketing system

  • Ensure tickets are kept up to date with regular updates

  • Keep the customer up to date with progression of tickets

  • Look proactively at tickets to confirm a permanent fix

  • Identify opportunities to implement improved solutions

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate the and desire to go ‘above and beyond’ for the customers

  • Carry out research, testing and development on imminent technologies

  • Engage in ongoing training and gain technical qualifications

 

Required Skills and Experience 

 

  • Have experience of working in a busy IT service desk environment

  • Have confident customer facing skills

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own

  • Use own initiative to make decisions and complete tasks

  • Have a professional attitude

  • Efficient time keeping

  • Ability to prioritise work

  • Flexible approach to working outside of normal working hours

  • Full UK driving licence

 

With at least one of the following preferred

  • Relevant Microsoft or Cisco qualification (e.g. MCP, CCNA)

  • Experience of Office365 and SharePoint

  • Telecommunications experience (Panasonic, 3CX)
