NRG are working closely with an innovative North East based IT solutions provider specializing in virtualization technologies. Based in Cramlington, they are looking to add multiple Enterprise Support Engineers to their team to provide 3rd line escalation and resolution support to medium and large-scale client critical infrastructures. We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic team player, capable of working on own initiative, along with strong planning and organization skills.
The successful individual(s) will be able to:
Deliver both projects and support (diagnosis and resolution of support tickets)
Prioritise jobs based on business impact.
Actively monitor/manage/update each call’s progress, keeping lines of communication open with colleagues and customer throughout the process.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Solid experience in implementing and supporting the following:
SAN, NAS & DeDupe Storage
VMware infrastructure – deep knowledge not just admin
Network troubleshooting and support
Advanced Microsoft Active Directory skills inc powershell
Exchange/O365 management, installation and migration.
Backups/Replication/Disaster Recovery (Veeam/SRM/Zerto)
VDI (Horizon/Appvols/UEM) – nice to have but will be introduced to this technology
Experience with monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds/Logicmonitor desirable
Within each area listed above you will need to support a number of hardware vendors and a large variety of configurations.
This isn’t a typical support role, the clients you will support depend entirely on the critical infrastructures we implement rapid support and fault resolution times are fundamental to the service we provide.
The role includes training in new technologies and exposure to new technology quickly, i.e. HCI VXRail/Nutanix etc
