The main purpose of the role is to develop, manage and enhance the reputation and brand through the development of effective brand management, communications, customer and product strategies.
Main Duties of the Job:
To research, analyse and evaluate the marketing and external environment in which the client operates to ensure it remains relevant to the market and its customers. Ensure the Society is kept up to date on market developments and understands key market segments and their future needs.
To promote the voice of the customer to ensure all activities are conducted with the customer and their needs in mind.
To develop and implement Brand and Communication Strategies to build awareness across our key target markets, including through our online channels and Sponsorships and Strategic Partners.
To monitor and manage customer measurements to improve the perception, effectiveness, satisfaction and overall trends of our customer bas
To develop and implement a comprehensive strategic framework for effective external communications, in support of the brand.
To manage all external communication and public relations (including media) and build, maintain and develop relationships with key influencers within the region, sector and media.
To manage the approach to external community involvement, including the measurement of impact of activities on wider society.
To create and support the delivery of Brand and Customer Value Propositions where appropriate for the specific target markets.
Develop and promote a positive, forward looking customer focused culture by fostering excellent internal and external working relationships.
To act as a Brand Ambassador and ensure that fruitful relationships are maintained and developed in the community.
Key requirements for the role:
Senior management marketing experience – preferably across the full marketing mix.
Team leadership experience and strong people development capabilities
Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience of managing and briefing a full range of external agencies.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing
Preferable but not essential – experience in PR, external media management and internal communications
Preferable but not essential – working knowledge of financial promotions regulations and FCA conduct rules
Preferable but not essential – marketing qualification
