Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
Job Role
Ensure 'procurement integrity’ through open, honest, transparent and fair tendering and procurement processes
Reduce costs by leveraging buying power and negotiating price reductions of capital goods and services
Identify, procure and implement robust procurement and purchase systems with supporting documentation such as contracts, purchase ordering, stock code creation, bill of materials, asset registers, goods receipts and invoice processing
Implement clear guidance/ rules and controls to reduce amount of waste and 'informal’ procurement, leading to more co-ordinated, consistent and professional approach to procurement
help identify risks to the business in its supply chain and mitigate those risks
Increase efficiencies through greater consistency in approach
Skills Experience
Experience of implementing a professional procurement process with associated systems
Extensive experience and knowledge of procurement, tendering and contract management processes, including running multiple complex, high risk and value projects simultaneously
Proven track record of achieving savings and service improvements through procurement with experience of delivering change in a complex organisation
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including successfully facilitating joint decision-making and building productive relationships between senior stakeholders within the business units, third party organisations and suppliers
Good knowledge and experience of running successful tender exercises including use of comprehensive evaluation techniques
