NRG are delighted to be partnered with a globally renowned law firm looking to recruit a Senior Applications Support Analyst. Reporting to the Applications Manager, this role provides technical solutions and testing assurances for a suite of business applications.
Process driven approach to replace hardware, Windows OS, SQLOS and application software versions in priority order cognisant to service roadmaps and system requirements.
Responsibility over testing sign-off for changes applied under the remit of the Sustainability Programme. This will incorporate: software, distributed and centrally hosted; hardware upgrades and operating system.
Generation and maintenance of test packs to form the basis of future regression packs.
Liaise with third party vendors to provide latest proven version for upgrades and implementation
Experience of the standard SDLC and STLC with practical application with an understanding of application structure and deployment process
Deliver change to controlled environments using an ITIL Change Management framework with representation of changes at regional and global Change Approval Board meetings.
Experience of upgrading software systems: application version, Windows OS, Hardware replacement and SQL database operating systems
Deliver solutions to improve systems manageability & supportability (in house & 3rd party)
Creation of technical documentation in line with required standards
Quality assure systems as they move from development into test and live
Skills and Experience Required
Experience of supporting, maintaining and testing enterprise applications with a good appreciation of applications design & development including database and infrastructure technologies
Experience of implementing and customising third party systems
Experience of programming structure, concepts and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
Awareness of structured development, analysis & project management methodologies
Core technical skills to include T-SQL
Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving & delivery skills coupled with a good understanding of ITIL support processes.
