Paint Robot Programmer

Salary: Plus 30% shift allowance nights, 16% earlies and lates

Our international Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client is looking for a Paint Robot Programmer to join them on a permanent basis.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Proven progressive experience within a manufacturing environment - automotive preferred

  • HNC/D in an engineering discipline or relevant experience.

  • Experience in using continuous improvement techniques/methodologies

  • Working knowledge on health, safety and environmental legislation

  • Good communication and presentation skills and contribute to team and customer orientated activities.

  • Must be PC literate

  • Must have awareness of paint process KOI/KPI.

  • Proven ability for gathering, presenting and interpreting data

  • Must adhere to company health and safety policies

  • Proven safe operation of equipment and excellent safety record.

  • Facilitate and contribute to team building.

  • Ability to review and implement new procedures using correct procedures.

  • Must be able to demonstrated good work habits

  • Knowledge of JIT, IATF16949:2016 would be an advantage

  • Must be able to demonstrate good timekeeping and disciplinary record

 

Individual Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety procedures, methods, equipment and practices are adhered to including housekeeping.

  • Understand and comply with Customer Specific Requirements (including VDA, Formel Q, JLRQ, Nissan, PSA, Opel Vauxhall BIQS, etc.) for their area of work

  • Responsible for the output of target quantities of Paint Program daily to meet customer demand.

  • Contribute to regular continuous improvement meetings.

  • Adherence to paint colour measurement system and controls

  • Develop, control and measure process parameters.

  • Management of new product programs.

  • Interface for Engineering of new product development.

  • Development of path programming/application processes

  • Deliver Technical solutions to process problems

  • Support improvement activities in the Paint line.

  • Responsible for yield, utilisation, and product quality in your area.

  • Liaise with other departments for maintenance, production or process.

  • Prepare detailed reports or figures and deliver KPI measurables as required.
