Business Development Manager

Main purpose of the role:


The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the full portfolio of active and passive cooling products such as liquid cold plates, heat pipe assemblies, graphite solutions and thermal interface materials as well as a collaborator for developing our future technologies.


Key responsibilities:


  • Development of new business and management of key accounts

  • Develop relationships with major OEM and CEM manufacturers in territory

  • To act as principal point of contact for customers within agreed territories

  • Manage effective communications between the customer and engineering personnel to ensure the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times throughout the design and development process

  • Generation of sales opportunities by direct action and collaborative technical presentations

  • Produce timely quotations and maintain the enquiry process to optimise the conversion of technical proposals into orders

  • Monitor, change and improve methods of selling and doing business

  • Maintain a Salesforce.com listing of account activity, provide regular reports and make presentations to senior management




  • Engineering or technical degree with appropriate job experience in applicable discipline required

  • Understanding of various CAD packages required for design and thermal modelling preferred

  • Experience of selling customised products in high technology markets

  • Dealing with customers in European markets

  • Experience in selling thermal solutions to OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2 organizations in:

  • General defence industries, civil and defence aerospace, communication and defence satellites, power electronics, medical device and testing, high-end automotive preferred

  • Operating in a global manufacturing environment

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time, priorities and information efficiently

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to work effectively as part of a team and possess good communication skills
