HR Payroll and Systems Manager

Our client based in the North East is experiencing an exciting period of growth. As a result they have a rare opportunity to join the business in their HR department as Payroll & Systems Manager.

This is a newly created position and the right person will be an expert in their field, yet someone who enjoys collaborating closely and being part of the wider HR Team.

Duties:

  • Responding effectively and rapidly to payroll queries across the business, showing a high level of empathy and appreciation towards internal customers

  • End of year processes, P45’s

  • Pensions upload

  • Processing starters, movers, leavers

  • Project leading and implementing the transition to a new payroll structure

  • Providing an overview of a new payroll system

  • Payroll administration (imputing timesheets etc.)

  • Annual leave purchase

  • Continued training and education for the HR team

  • Payroll analysis i.e. overtime and cost implication, gender pay gap, cost of living etc.

  • CSP and SSP payments and calculations

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll manager to develop an internal payroll department and be part of a lovely HR team. You must be resilient and able to work well under pressure, often to deadlines and be willing to travel when required on occasion.

Advanced Excel skills are a must with the ability to do V look ups and pivot tables and you must be comfortable learning their HR system and running reports from there also.
