As part of the City Plan, we are looking for a committed and driven Assistant Director of Housing Services. The role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional to play a key part in developing and delivering housing services for the public and vulnerable people.
Supporting the Executive Director of Neighbourhoods, you will provide strategic leadership of housing services within the city council and in partnership with others. Including acting as the council’s statutory lead officer for homelessness.
Applicants will need the following:
Experience of working in and developing partnerships to fund and achieve housing development.
Experience of successfully identifying new opportunities and expansion of the range of housing options across the city.
To provide financial and commercial appraisals of development opportunities and evaluate the commercial risk to the Council.
Experience of developing commercial enterprises within a housing sector.
A strong, visible and collaborative leadership style; the ability to build effective relationships and work across the public and private sectors, with vision and attention to detail.
