NRG is working with a global law firm who have over 4,000 lawyers and other legal staff based in Europe, US, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Due to recent growth this year and continuing into 2019, they are looking to expand their Business Development team. As a result, they are recruiting for a Business Development Assistant to join the team who will report into the Head of Business Development.

You will be accountable for supporting the wider business function in Europe, Middle East and Asia on specific work areas including the preparation of proposals and legal directory submissions. You will liaise directly with lawyers and business services teams.

Ideal candidate: Graduate with 2:1 degree.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Preparing transactional bid proposals and directory submissions in line with their best practice procedures around process, branding, compliance and pricing

  • Working directly with the Business Development team and lawyers to agree approach, source content and secure sign off of the final product

  • Drafting and editing copy in commercially appropriate language, maintaining at all times a high level of attention to detail

  • For bids, maintaining focus on their value proposition for each opportunity

  • Ensuring adherence to visual identity guidelines

  • Consistently meeting both internal and external deadlines to enable prompt delivery of each bid or submission

Skills and experience required:

  • A degree at 2:1 level or above, in a relevant subject area including: Creative Writing, History or English

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, professional environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • High level of attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to communicate at all levels and demonstrate commitment to outstanding service delivery

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as a team to ensure deadlines are met

  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments

  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks assigned
