This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join an interesting and expanding organisation in Newcastle for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Throughout the 12 months, you will be responsible for the effective management of the company finances and overseeing a team of 2 Finance Assistants.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels within the organisation. Working in a friendly and supportive environment, you will be part of the Senior Management Team and will manage the budgeting and forecasting for the business whilst providing management information Direcotrs to enable effective decision making.
In addition, you will be responsible for the production of the company's annual accounts, liaison with external accountants and ensuring strong financial controls are in place.
You will be either fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or have significant experience of working in a similar role.
With the current Finance Manager due to go on maternity leave in January, you must be immediately available or available at short notice in order to receive a full handover.
