NRG is working closely with an interesting client in Gateshead who is unique in their market. They are looking to add to their finance team with a talented, experienced Finance Assistant.
Providing effective finance support along side the rest of the finance team.
Complete all allocated month-end processes in line with agreed deadlines; such as prepayments, accruals processing.
Carry out Purchase Ledger duties: expenses, creating and posting payments, regular reconciliations, ensure appropriate authorisations.
Reconciliations on bank accounts, petty cash, intercompany accounts as well as updating the daily cash flow.
Carry out Credit Control duties in order to ensure timely payments are made within agreed terms.
Set up and amend supplier and customer accounts accurately.
File financial record in line with agreed processes
Assist with preparation of annual audits alongside the Finance Director and Operational.
Other ad hoc duties at the discretion of your manager.
You will be responsible for representing the company in a way that is aligned to their core values and actively promote the profile at all times.
You will be full / part AAT qualified ideally or you ill have sufficient financial skills gained from experience.
Experience working within an accounts department is essential
Experience using SAGE and other software packages such as Excel.
You will be highly organised, have a very high degree of accuracy with numbers and able to work to tight deadlines.
A good understanding of accounting principals.
Experience managing credit control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
