Process Engineering Manager

The Process Engineering Manager should have a formal leadership qualification or demonstrated potential to develop as a leader who will lead the Process Engineers, providing appropriate development, training and coaching to build an effective team. They will also coordinate and prioritise activities supporting the production and innovation teams driving improvements by acting as change and launch manager.You should have a degree in an engineering or manufacturing biased subject and a number of years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Just as critical as the above is having the right "can do" attitude and being able to fit into the team.

As key members of the engineering team all roles will require:

  • Developing and collecting data to measure the effectiveness of processes

  • Improving existing manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency

  • Ensuring the implementation of Lean Manufacturing methods and practices

  • Coordinating the introduction of new manufacturing products, processes, methods and equipment including establishing goals, training team members and evaluate results following our Launch Procedure

  • Designing, developing and testing of various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods

  • Engineering project management


In our 24/7 manufacturing process business this challenging roles require a high degree of self-motivation and personal resilience. You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, be IT competent, and have a working knowledge of health and safety in a manufacturing environment. Additionally knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies would be an advantage.

You will be working in close co-operation with all levels of internal customers and external suppliers. As well as being able to demonstrate a good understanding of practical engineering principles you will have a strong analytical mind, excellent organisational & problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

We take a very team based approach and you will be expected to contribute to the development of the engineering department and take part in broader engineering activities as necessary.
