Our client is one of the North East’s leading and most established organisations. Due to recent investment, they are going through a period of transformation and growth and now looking for a Business Development Representative to join the Field Sales team. You will be accountable for expanding the manufacturing team, building a pipeline of new business through selling a portfolio of products to the manufacturing industry.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Identify, contact and qualify customers to achieve and exceed demand generation targets through inbound marketing source leads and outbound targeted campaign execution

  • Generate high quality pipeline, qualified using a thorough sales methodology

  • Effectively use a variety of channels such as social media, internet, web-based tools & outbound calling

  • Work with internal teams to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans to ensure quality communication plans are delivered to potential customers

  • Work to individual quota, achieving qualified meeting targets for the field team to close

  • Pro-actively work with the field sales and marketing teams to identify and approach target customers

  • Source and create a contact list of target customers for outbound activity

  • Demonstrate solution-selling and relationship-building skills

  • Managing all CRM activity relating to your accounts

  • Achieving set sales targets

  • Provide a first class customer experience at all times

 

Skills and experience:

 

  • Proven experience in outbound sales preferably within architecture/construction or the manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge of a marketing approach to customers, their objectives and the sales cycle

  • Strong understanding of business and how key stakeholders make buying decisions

  • Experience working to KPI’s and targets

  • Tenacity, drive and a positive approach

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient IT skills – Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Proven success in a sales role
