Our client is a leading offshore energy support base located in North East of England and this is an excellent opportunity to join their finance team. You will be provided with support as you study towards becoming a fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant.

Posting journal entries to ensure that all business transactions are recorded efficiently.
Updating both accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as issuing invoices and performing reconciliations.
Assisting with balance-sheet processing, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal guidelines and company policy.
Assisting with expenses and payroll records.
General bookkeeping and invoice processing.
Management of the cashbook.
Assisting with accounts preparations.
Updating financial data in the database to make sure that information is easily retrievable.
Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports.
Assisting with the preparation of monthly/yearly closing.
Assisting with projects within the accounting function.
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
Planning and Analysis.
1 – 2 Years experience in an accounting role
Experience with SAGE is highly beneficial
Strong IT skills with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages
Strong, proven numerical ability
Analytically minded with the ability to challenge
Able to plan and manage changing priorities
