iXBRL Accounting and Reporting Executive

Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to manage your own portfolio of clients and progress their work using your own initiative with limited support from management – however help will always be at hand.

  • You will convert data using a specific process that involves tagging data in the accounts to a “taxonomy” a dictionary of accounting terms, and applying additional attributes to those tags.

  • A separate team will do the initial data entry / tagging and the first level review. This information will then be passed you your team who are spread over the UK to quality review and sense check with clients and client handlers.

  • The vast majority of interaction, relating to this work, will be done over Skype/Calls so the work can be done from any office in the UK.

Requirements

  • You will require a strong working knowledge of iXBRL tagging in a recent job role.

  • Equally important is that you have a good understanding of accountancy

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting department in a “hands-on” role.

  • It would be an advantage for you to have a thorough understanding on UK and Irish GAAP/ IFRS accounts and a solid appreciation of the relevant Financial Reporting standards.

  • Exceptional attention to detail alongside great time management skills to deal with stakeholders.

  • Good communication skills and excellent customer services.
