Business Development Manager

NRG are working with a software company near Newcastle City Centre who have been delivering and development IT solutions and services in cloud, applications, analytics and managed services to SME's and large enterprises nationally for over 25 years.

Due to growth and development, they are now looking for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager who will join their managed services team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for acquiring new business across the country using solution-led strategies to help clients.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Identifying, follow-up and close new business opportunities

  • Facilitate and enable long-term strategic relationships with clients

  • Work with the campaigns team to help drive productive lead generation and management

  • Continually use available tools and resources to ensure awareness of ever-changing technological landscape

  • Build your own pipeline autonomously that will support overall targets

  • The ability to gain a good understanding of the prospects business functions and requirements

  • Take responsibility for the entire sales lifecycle for allocated leads and assist with others when needed

  • Attend relevant seminars and networking events to develop business relationships

  • Partnership management with key suppliers as required

 

 

Skills/experience required:

 

 

  • Proven track record of success in a managed services environment as a sales professional where you have been responsible for identifying prospects

  • Consultative approach to developing new business opportunities based on a long-term customer strategy

  • Solid experience of working in a target driven environment

  • Ability to build a relationship as a facilitator of solutions and identify client needs through strong questioning strategies

  • An understanding or desire to work within the IT service sector

  • Ability to liaise with senior management both with colleagues and prospects

  • Excellent organisation and time keeping skills

  • Must possess a full driving licence as you will be required to travel across the UK as required
