Marketing Research Executive

Experienced Market Research Executive to complement existing skills within the Product Management Department. Ideally a sound knowledge of product and market research, and the ablity to design and conduct both primary and secondary market research activity, with a demonstrable track record in analysing and presenting information.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Able to plan and implement creative and effective market research campaigns;

  • Creative and enthusiastic approach;

  • Must be familiar with all aspects of market research;

  • Must be able to work on projects independently and as part of a team;

  • Must be experienced in a similar role;

  • Ability to recognise and interpret market trends;

  • Ability to design and undertake primary market research;

  • Awareness and understanding of secondary market research techniques, and the ability to use them to assess and forecast current market conditions;

  • Experience of working with the results of analytical reports to analyse campaigns and advise on improving performance;

  • Experience of email marketing/databases;

  • Organised, have great communication skills, can work under pressure and are fun to work with;

  • Knowledge of an ecommerce environment;

  • Familiar with product marketing

Duties to include:

  • Analyse and respond to the demands and behaviours of customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations;

  • monitoring competitor activity to establish and maintain a competitive advantage;

  • developing research campaigns and briefs

  • analysing market and sales data to spot trends and opportunities;

  • providing Product Managers with analysis to ensure product ordering is correct and effective;

  • presenting results of research in reports for colleagues and senior managers;

  • maintaining and updating customer databases;

  • contributing to, and developing, promotional plans and strategies;

  • evaluating promotional campaigns;

  • supporting the marketing manager and other colleagues with data driven insights.
