NRG are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Analyst for one of our clients who are a public service provider with a reputation for delivering excellence through innovation.


The role will involve the gathering of requirements, design support and specification of new technology as well as enhancements to existing systems. Applicants will need to demonstrate their experience of system testing and quality assurance together with strong analytical skills.


This is initially a 12 month Fixed Term Contract in Newcastle upon Tyne with a salary of £35,000 - £38,000 depending on skills and experience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Gather, scope and document business requirements including, where applicable, process analysis/mapping to identify any gaps in processes & system provision as well as any potential efficiency gains and also support the business in identifying required business change.


  • Produce test strategy documentation and scripts as well as performing


  • Perform benefits analysis including the gathering of baseline data, critical success factors and the assessment of benefit achievement once the solution is implemented and bedded in.


  • Carry out investigation into technical solutions and perform cost benefit analysis into available options, presenting proposals in a Detailed Business Case.


  • Contribute to the design of enhancements to existing computer systems and the development of new applications in order to effect improvement.


  • Perform system analysis and prepare functional and technical specifications based on User requirements to support the development and implementation of technical change, ensuring that documentation remains fully maintained.


  • Supervise, train and allocate work to subordinate staff, where applicable, providing advice and guidance when required in order to enhance the services provided.


  • Liaise with suppliers of externally sourced systems, carrying out any required monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with user requirements and specifications and, when required, provide training to users.
